We visited this massive racetrack and casino that manages its grounds and facility with over 60 pieces of equipment, including a Ventrac. We’re here to see how they use Ventrac on their property to make it look as nice as it does. Many different variables are involved in a horse track casino property. Maintaining the racetrack, mowing, and general construction work are all happening on this campus. With so many varying applications, Ventrac comes into play just where you might expect. They take us to the difficult areas of the property, the sloping terrain, the places that are hard to maneuver around, and out front, where the first impressions mean the most. Ventrac strikes the delicate balance of providing power and traction to work on steep hills, rough terrain, and fine turf areas to leave a professional finish while being light on the turf. And while a 16-foot mower is great for large open spaces, there are a lot of intermediate areas where that mower won’t fit. That’s where Ventrac’s 8-foot wide-area mower does a great job of bridging that gap. Handwork like string trimmers seems to be the only answer on those steep hills where no equipment can run.
